Six Star Energy Rating
At Macquarie Homes we are proud to have on staff an accredited energy rater who is able to advise and assess new homes to meet the six star energy requirements.
Our accredited energy rater is in day-to-day contact with clients informing and educating homebuyers of the benefits of 6 Star efficient homes and how to achieve them.
It is compulsory for new houses to have
- 6 Star energy rating for the building fabric
- A rainwater tank for toilet flushing or a solar hot water system
It is possible to have both the rainwater tank for toilet flushing and the solar hot water service; the addition of either one would still ensure the achievement of the 6 Star Standards.
